PURPOSE:To improve quality of printing as well as to enable printing letters and figures, by making it possible to shift a printing paper intermittently in the direction perpendicularly to a printing head, which is capable of shifting in the both directions rectilinearly, and to conduct printing superimposedly by return scanning. CONSTITUTION:A timing signal T is sent from a wire dot matrix printer to a printer control, print pulses are generated in accordance with respective character generators for forwarding and returning. By sending an electric current to a dot printing driving unit by a drive unit, a wire is made to impact a recording paper. For example, when a printing head unit is scanning on forwarding passage, print pulses A and B are put out by a timing signal Tn and a pulse C by a timing signal Tn+1 and a pulse D by a timing signal Tn+1, respectively, to form dots A through D. And by return-passage scanning Tm and Tm+1, dots E and F are superimposedly printed. |
