PURPOSE:To plan to improve combustion efficiency of devices and save fuel consumption by recovering Joule heat generated in cables in a covered conduit upon transmitting electricity and enabling to utilize it for preheating air for combustion in combustion devices effectively. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of transmission cables 2 are supported in parallel in a covered conduit 1 provided under ground with pillors 3 and supporting racks 2. An air sending pipe 8 is provided between an exhaust port 6 for the conduit 1 and preheating devices 9 for air for combustion connected directly to two sets of boilers A, B, for example. A switching valve 10 for sending air, fans 11 provided in the air sending pipe 8, flow detector 12 in the pipe 8 and a pressure detector 13 are attached to the device, and detecting signals are input into a controller 14 for a fan 4, provided at an air feeding port 5 for drafting, in order to adjust a quantity of air being fed into the conduit 1 in accordance with a volume necessitated. According to this method, air risen in temperature in the conduit 1 may be utilized as preheated air for combustion. |
