PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitoring device, vehicle monitoring method and vehicle monitoring program for enabling a driver to accurately grasp the position of a two-wheeled vehicle by switching a photographing range to display the switched photographing range on the screen of a display device in the case that the two-wheeled vehicle approaches.SOLUTION: A vehicle monitoring device 12 includes a determination part 121 for determining whether a rear vehicle captured in an image of a camera 11 for photographing an area around its own vehicle is a two-wheeled vehicle, a distance detection part 122 for detecting a vehicular gap between the own vehicle and the rear vehicle, and a control part 123 for switching the image of the camera 11 displayed on the screen of the display device 13 from an image of a reference photographing range to an image of a prescribed range closer to the own vehicle than the reference photographing range in the case that the determination part 121 determines that the rear vehicle is a two-wheeled vehicle, and that the vehicular gap detected by the distance detection part 122 is equal to or less than a prescribed distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
