<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to attain an accurate calculation process even at the time when a battery is consumed and should be replaced, by providing a printer- attached battery-driving electronic desk-top calculator with a method of holding calculation data, an arithmetic state and memory contents during the replacement of the battery. CONSTITUTION:With power switch PS ON, capacitor C is charged by a current from battery B and the current is supplied to key-board part K, AND gates G1 and G2, arithmetic part A, liquid-crystal display part D, and print part P. The capacity of capacitor C is set large enough to enable K, G1, G2, A and D parts to operate for a few minutes by the stored charge and even if a battery is replaced with switch PS ON, the contents of the memory and an arithmetic state are held. With switch PS OFF, capacitor C is discharged via resistance R. Key input signal inhibition switch KS is an automatic switch interlocking with the attachment and detachment of the battery and when the battery is taken out, KS is ON to inhibit gates G1 and G2, so that key input at the time of the replacement of the battery will automatically be inhibited.</p> |
