The invention provides novel fluoro-imides/amides of the formula: <IMAGE> in which at least two of X1, X2, X3 and X4 are fluorine and any of X1, X2, X3 and X4 which is not fluorine, is chlorine, and A is selected from: <IMAGE> (a) in which R1 is hydrogen or a halogen atom, preferably chlorine, Z is CH or a nitrogen atom, n is 0 or 1, and R is an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, preferably methyl, or a halogen atom, preferably chlorine; <IMAGE> (b) in which Z, n and R have the above-stated meanings: <IMAGE> (c) and <IMAGE> (d) and a process for preparing said compounds. Said compounds have valuable fungicidal and miticidal activity.
