<p>Cardio-circulatory and cerebero-vasculatory disorders are treated by administration of a chonodesethyl apovincamine of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt of (I) (where R = H, satd. or unsatd. straight or branched 1-5C alkyl, or benzyl; Z = H, halogen, alkyl, OH, acyloxy, carbamate, or methoxy), together with a pharmaceutical vehicle or excipient. This is an addn. to FR 77.29574, which covers (I) per se. (I; R = C2H5; Z = H) is specifically claimed. (I) may be given as tablets, capsules or injectable solns. in a unit dosage of 0.5-700 mg.</p> |
