<p>Metallic lead is obtained from lead sulfide concentrates by halogenating the lead sulfide, leaching the resulting mixture with brine, filtering to separate elemental sulfur, residue and lead halide, crystallizing the lead halide and thereafter recovering metallic lead by fused salt electrolysis.</p> |
