PURPOSE:To simplify the check of memory content of microcomputer, by comparing the result obtained for logical operation of binary number stored actually in the memory section storing the program controlling the components of automobile, with the result of logical operation of binary number stored in the memory section. CONSTITUTION:First, the memory is checked when the power supply is ON, then initial setting is made for CPU1 so that the instruction can be executed for the internal register and the interface 4. After that, the content of the first address M0 of the first ROM2 of check objective is read out and tentatively stored (E0=M0). Next, the content of the second address M1 is read out, exclusive logical sum with E0 is taken, and the result E1 is stored in the register in CPU. Thus operation is sequentially made to all the address content of the first ROM2, the final result of operation En is compared with the correct result of operation stored in advance in the second ROM3, and when the both are in agreement, the control program is executed. |
