PURPOSE:To perform rational charging for the user, by detecting the receiving end signal, which is transmitted from the terminating-side facsimile FAX terminal, by the FAX transmission control unit and by performing charging of the transmission- side FAX terminal by this detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When request of FAX communication occurs from originating-side FAX terminal 1, exchange 2 reports required information to central control unit 4 through storage conversion control information transmitting and receiving unit 3 and connects terminal 1 and FAC receiving control unit 5. When unit 5 starts the receiving operation to request unit 4 to store the picture signal, unit 4 stores the picture signal in an empty part of picture signal file 6. At the end of communication from termianl 1, exchange 2 is connected to terminating-side FAX terminal 9 and sends the picture signal from file 6 to terminal 9 through FAX transmission control unit 7. At the receiving end of one-sheet components of the picture signal, terminal 9 transmits the receiving end signal to unit 7, and unit 7 reports it to unit 4. Thus, unit 4 processes charging of terminal 1. |
