PURPOSE:A polyamide composition that contains a reaction product from an aliphatic diene polymer containing carboxyl groups and a specific inorganic metal compound and an epoxy compound, thus showing especially high impact strength when absolutely dried. CONSTITUTION:Three components, (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyamide such as nylon 6, (B) 5-50pts. of a product resulting from the reaction between (a) 100pts. of an aliphatic diene copolymer containing carboxyl groups, preferably which is liquid, 1,000-10,000 in molecular weight and bears 1-4 carboxyl groups in one molecule, and (b) 0.1-10, preferably 0.3-5.0pts., of an inorganic metal compound selected from the group consisting of oxides, hydroxides and carbonates of metals in group I-III of the periodic table at 80-150 deg.C for 20-120min, and (C) 0.1- 29pts. of an epoxy compound such as diglycidyl ether of bis-phenol A, are melt blended. |
