PHTHALANE DERIVATIVES, COMPOSITIONS THEREOF AND A METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention relates to phthalanes of the following general formula: I wherein R1 and R2 each represents halogen, a trifluoromethyl group, a cyano group or R-CO- wherein R is an alkyl LUND-32 CANADA radical with from 1-4 C-atoms inclusive, as well as acid addition salts thereof with pharmaceutically acceptable acids. It is an object of the present invention to provide phthalanes of Formula I, a method of making the same, a method for the alleviation, palliation, mitigation, or inhibition of the manifestations of certain physiological-psychological abnormalities of animals therewith, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds as active ingredient.
