摘要 |
PURPOSE:To decompose and remove bromine oxide in waste water by reducing the bromine oxide to bromine or bromine ions and ozonizing the water to convert the ions into vapor phase bromine or anhydrous hypobromus acid. CONSTITUTION:Bromine oxide in waste water discharged by washing malodorous gas with hypobromite is first reduced to bromine ions from bromine oxide ions by adding a reducing agent such as sodium sulfite. An excess of bromine ions may be added to reduce the bromine oxide to bromine at <=3pH. The water is then ozonized to oxidize the bromine ions to bromine or anhydrous hypobromus acid, which is shifted into the vapor phase in the escaping gas. Thus, the bromine oxide in the waste water is decomposed and removed to prevent secondary environmental pollution. |
