PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and method that is capable of achieving checkered images.SOLUTION: An imaging device and method picks up a subject image formed through an imaging lens and outputs video data (S3), determines a main subject and a sub subject, determines a focusing order with any one of the main subject and the sub subject set as a departure point and a terminal point (S6, S7), drives the imaging lens at a driving speed corresponding to the focus difference between the main subject and the sub subject according to the determined focusing order, records video data of moving pictures during driving of the imaging lens (S11 to S17), and records video data of still pictures after the driving of the imaging lens is stopped (S18, S19).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
