The cut grass shaker and crusher drum is intended for coupling to the front of an agricultural tractor. It has coupling points (1-3) for a three-point suspension, and swivel wheels. The suspension is arranged such that the drum can follow uneven terrain and the wheels are height-adjustable (4) whilst their track width falls within the working width of the front mower. The suspension may comprise two horizontal pivots (1,2) at the lower end of the drum whilst the third point (3) is connected to the tractor via a cable or chain. To optimise the crushing effect for more rapid drying of the cuttings, the crusher drive shaft (5) speed may be variable.
