PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of power consumption by giving an instantaneous operation to the ROM, RAM, arithmetic circuit and others with the periodical signal. CONSTITUTION:The fundamental pulse supplied from quartz oscillating circuit 1 is divided into two parts to be turned into the 1Hz signal each. This 1HZ signal is then changed into the second signal through 60-notation counter 3 and then applied to display unit 12 via decoder 10 and driving circuit 11. Thus the time is displayed in the digital form. Then the arithmetic process circuit consisting of ROM5, RAM6 and arithmetic circuit 7 each operates just for a moment based on the period signal prodeced by counter 3 and temporary memory circuit 4. As a result, the high-speed operation concerning the operation of a complicated watch is carried out by the periodical and instantaneous action, thus reducing the amount of power consumption. |
