TITLE: HERBICIDAL COMPOUNDS Herbicidal compounds of formula: wherein Z is halogen, or trifluoromethyl, and Y is hydrogen, halogen or trifluoromethyl, provided that at least one of Z and Y is trifluoromethyl; and R is OH; OM wherein M is a cation; alkoxy; or an optionally substituted amino group. The invention further provides herbicidal processes and compositions. The compounds are also useful as intermediates for preparing herbicides of the formula: and derivatives thereof.
