PURPOSE:To widen the range of allowable fluctuation in the driving voltage of a drive circuit, by providing a DC motor, a timing detector for detecting the rotational frequency of the motor, a driver for applying the driving voltage to a printing head for a time proportional to the output signal of the detector, etc. CONSTITUTION:A drive circuit for a dot matrix printing head is composed of a DC motor 1 which is moved by a printing head driving voltage and whose rotational frequency is in direct proportion to the applied voltage, a timing detector for detecting the rotational frequency of the motor 1, a driver 8 for applying the driving voltage to the printing head for a time almost proportional to the output signal of the timing detector 2, etc. Even if the fluctuation in the driving voltage which is an input energy to the printing head occurs, the fluctuated amount is fed back to the energization time, the input energy is kept almost constant. |
