The fixture (44) is intended for locating a calibrating plug (24) in a radial bore (14) provided in the outlet duct (12) of a pump housing (10), e.g. the housing of an electric fuel pump. The fixture consists of a flat disc with a number of prongs (48) which extend in radial direction from the periphery at an angle to the disc and have their outermost ends (52) parallel to the disc. Between each pair of adjacent prongs there is a short pointed projection (50) at right angles to the disc. When inserted against the end face (34) of the plug, the fixture deforms whilst the prongs penetrate into the wall (40) of the bore and the points (50) penetrate into the face (34).
