PURPOSE:To raise the thermal efficiency by a method wherein the discharged drain from the mold is separated into cold water and hot water and then the hot water thus separated is supplied into the mold to heat the same preliminarily, whereby the thermal energy is utilized effectively without using expensive equipment. CONSTITUTION:Steam is supplied under pressure from a boiler B into the molds 2 and 2' through a steam piping 1 to foam secondarily stock material beads filled up in the cavity of the mold and then, the steam being interrupted, cooling water is supplied into the molds 2 and 2' for cooling the same through a cooling-water piping 3. In such a system, the drain discharged from the molds 2 and 2' is separated into hot water and cold water through the intermediary of a drain selector 4 and the cold water is returned into the cooling-water piping 3 as supply water through the intermediary of a drain tank 5 and a cold-water piping 6, while the hot water is sent into the molds 2 and 2' through the intermediary of a hot-water tank 7 and a hot-water piping 8 so as to be used for preliminary heating of the mold. |
