PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily designate and change a read area, by storing the pic-cell obtained by counting the main scanning and subscanning address of the coordinate value of the read original point. CONSTITUTION:A picture on the rotary drum 10 is scanned by the read head 15, the main scanning address and the subscanning address are generated by the main scanning address generation part 12 and the subscanning address generation part 17, these address pulses are counted, the number of pic-cells in the main scanning and subscanning directions from the read original point is generated by the X directional pic-cell counter 25 and the Y directional pic-cell counter 24, and it is stored in the memory 28. The area of a picture can be designated and changed by executing the software processing to the information of the number of pic-cells stored in the memory 28. |
