PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction and obviate the occurrence of scorching and fixing defects in copies by enabling the capacity changing-over of a fixing device is made only in the case of manual insertion mode. CONSTITUTION:Two feed means for feeding paper sheet by sheet from a feed cassette 65 and a manual insertion port 93 are provided, and which of the feed mean is to be used is selected by a manual insertion mode switch 101. Images are fixed on the copying paper fed in this way, by a fixing device 67, and changing-over of the capacity of the device 67 by means of copying switches 27, 29 of whether thin paper or thick paper according to the thicknesses of the paper is accomplished by a fixing controlling relay for thin paper and thick paper. And control means of controlling the changing-over of these switches 27, 29 are provided and the fixing changing- over switch is so arranged that it operates only in the case of the manual insertion mode in which the copying paper is fed from the manual insertion port 93. |
