PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging by chips and protect the machined thin groove partition walls of a magnetic head frame from being deformed by blowing out cutting oil from the inside of an arbor when machining plural grooves at fine intervals. CONSTITUTION:Cutting oil supplied from a feed pipe 11 to the inside of an arbor 7 when machining wide grooves 3 is blown out from blow-out grooves 14 towards the side faces of cutters 9 via cutting oil feed holes 12 and distributing grooves 13 and flows off chips which may clog between the cutters. By flowing off the chips, thin groove partition walls 4 which were mechined on a magnetic head frame 1 with thin blade cutters 8 before machining the wide grooves 3 can be protected from being deformed or damaged when machining the wide grooves 3. |
