PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing copper and collecting valuable metals from a copper ion-containing solution capable of easily removing copper from the copper ion-containing solution containing copper ion and thereby contributing enhancement of treatment efficiency and reduction of cost by effectively using aluminum obtained during a treatment of a lithium ion battery scrap.SOLUTION: The method for removing copper from a copper ion-containing solution includes adding aluminum foil contained in a lithium ion battery scrap to the copper ion-containing solution containing copper ion and reducing the copper ion in the copper ion-containing solution to deposit copper.SELECTED DRAWING: None
