<p>The transmission converts continuous rotation into reciprocal linear motion, incorporated in a reader which records high density magnetic data cards (17) in the banking field. It comprises a motorised (10) endless belt (1) coupled to a rail-(14,15) guided slide (13). The indented belt (1) traverses wheels (2,3) in a plane parallel to that containing the rails (14,15). The coupling is effected by a crank arm (5) with a slidable wrist pin (7) located by a slot hole (39). The throw of the arm is less than the effective wheel (2,3) radius, and the pin (7) enters a vertical slot-hole (16) in the slide (13). A slot hole (18) and pressure rollers (19) may hold the card (17) on the slide (13). The motor (28) is used for the step by step advance of a pick-up head (25).</p> |
