The invention relates to a device pertaining to doors 1 having lowerable door leaves 2, which have a compensating device. According to the invention, a compensating shaft forming part of the door construction is divided into two parts 7A, 7B, which are mutually coupled together in such a way that they can be decoupled if a prescribed torque is exceeded. Compensating springs 8A, 8B can easily be mounted on the said shafts 7A, 7B. In case of spring fracture, for example, during operation, the door leaf 2 is locked fast and is prevented from dropping down. The device comprises, more precisely, two shaft parts 7A, 7B connected by a coupling device 11, which is of such a character and is supported by a respective shaft 7A, 7B in such a way that, when a predetermined torque differential between the two shafts 7A, 7B is exceeded, it allows a twisting of the latter relative to each other. The door leaf 2, whose two, in the closed position of the same, vertical side edges are supported by one each of the said shaft parts 7A, 7B, is thereby inclined and locked fast in the attained position by engaging cooperation between grip members 20, 21 disposed in the said side edges and in the edge rail 3, 19 of the door. <IMAGE> |
