<p>The electric switch comprises a rectangular insulating box with two terminals extending from the base of the box. The first terminal is connected to a contact point formed as an extension of the terminal which lies flat on the base of the box. The second terminal is attached to a spring contact extending across the base of the box, and with a contact point directly above the first contact. A rocker switch is pivoted on top of the box, and has a peg extending down below the axis. The flexible spring contact has a raised angle. The height of the angle is such as to provide a snap action to the rocker as the peg passes over. In one position the peg presses the contact down to close the switch, whilst in the other position the peg allows the contact to rise away from the lower contact.</p> |
