Numerous suitable synthetic resin bonding materials are specified such as phenol-aldehyde resins, melaminealdehyde resins, polyester resins and epoxy novolacs. The filler may consist partly of conventional particulate fillers such as silicon carbide. The diamond abrasive particles may also be coated, e.g. with copper. The lubricant filler may be graphite, fluorinated graphite, metal-coated graphite, hexagonal boron nitride, tungsten disulphide, molybdenum disulphide, niobium diselenide and tungsten diselenide. Organic dry-film lubricants may be extrusion grades of various polymers such as ABS terpolymers, acetal copolymers, chlorinated polyethers, polytetrafluorotrifluoroethylene, fluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymers, and numerous other copolymers that are listed. |
