The invention relates to a shaping tool with a drawing die forming a shaping part, a holder disc holding the sheet-metal blank to be shaped against the drawing dies, and guide pillars fixed to one die, along which the other die can be displaced in sliding fashion. The die which is displaceable relative to the pillars is locked to the pillars by a locking mechanism when the drawing die and the holder disc are resting against one another but releases the locking when the said die is being displaced relative to the pillars. By this means, the force with which the sheet-metal blank is pressed against the drawing die by the holder disc during drawing is transmitted to the pillars and the drawing force of the press available for the shaping of the sheet-metal blank is not reduced. |
