The rockers (1,1') are mounted on a horizontal spindle (6) and come into contact with cams (9,9'). A rotating wheel (4) is mounted between the rocker and the support frame (16) on a sleeve. The wheel engages with a wheel (3) on the same shaft. The wheel (4) is fitted with four fingers 90 degrees apart, so that the wheel rotates through that angle. A drive stud (5) is pinned to the camshaft by a cotter (7). The cam (13) has a finger (12) and is mounted on a shaft (15). The wheel (3) causes lateral disengagement of the cams and rockers.
