<p>PURPOSE:To safely and efficiently store eggs into a container by a method wherein an egg passage to slide down the eggs whose postures have been uniformed into a given direction is provided with an endless driving body equipped with cross supports to support eggs one by one and a curved surface U-shaped groove body provided at the lower end. CONSTITUTION:A large number of eggs 2, which have passed through a proper continuous egg feeder 15 and position correcting apparatus 16 and are successively sent out being arranged so as to have vertical positions with acute ends facing forward uniformly, are then sent to an egg passage 1 consisting of a plurality of lines provided inclining at an acute angle. Because cross supports 4... of an endless driving body 3 are slowly moving along the upper side of said passage 1, each egg 2 is moved downward keeping said posture, being supported by each cross support 4 as well as lightly held by a holding member 6 from the upper side. The eggs 2 having reached the lower end of the passage 1 are guided by the U-shaped grooves of a curved surface U-shaped groove body 11 so that the direction of each egg is changed into the vertical, and when an opening/closing apparatus is opened, the eggs 2 in respective lines are simultaneously dropped onto egg seats 19 of a container 18 and stored orderly.</p> |
