PURPOSE:To reliably perform the individual removal of bar-shaped cushioning bodies such as sponge by providing a removing main body which is movable and has a plurality of needles, and a chuck which is movable in the direction perpendicular to said main body and has a plurality of needles similarly. CONSTITUTION:A sponge 1 as a bar-shaped cushioning material is bonded to a mount 2 and cut into given widths, with the mount 2 left uncut, to form into bars. When said sponge 1 is fed to a given position, a removing main body 3 moves downward so that a plurality of needles 4 provided on the surface facing to the upper surface of the sponge 1 are inserted into the sponge 1 at the forward (right) end position. Then, under said condition, a chuck 5 is moved leftward so that a plurality of needles 6 provided on the surface facing to the side surface of the sponge 1 are inserted thereinto. Thereby, the sponge 1 is being held. Therefore, drawing up the removing main body 3 permits the sponge 1 at the right end to be separated and removed from the mount 2 without distortion of its shape. |
