PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent two instructions concerning to recording and reproduction of material data, given to a video server from an external controller through an asynchronous communication network, from being executed with a time lag.SOLUTION: A video server includes a plurality of ports used for input and output of material data, a storage section capable of storing the group information concerning the grouping of the plurality of ports, and a control section for receiving an instruction specifying a specific port for inputting or outputting one of a plurality of specific material data as a first port, determining one or more other ports belonging to the same group as the first port as one or more second port based on the group information, and executing the instruction so that the plurality of material data are inputted or outputted synchronously by using the first port and one or more second ports.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
