PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position estimation device capable of accurately estimating the position of a portable terminal with respect to a vehicle even in a multipath environment.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication unit 1 includes: a first array antenna 11A for receiving a radio wave from a portable terminal; a first arrival direction estimation section 13A for estimating an arrival direction of the radio wave received by the first array antenna 11A; a reflection surface information acquisition section 15 for acquiring reflection surface information; and a position estimation section 16 for estimating the position of the portable terminal 200. The reflection surface information is information indicating the position of a reflection surface that exists around a vehicle and can reflect the radio wave from the portable terminal 200. Based on the reflection surface information, the position estimation section 16 determines whether the arrival direction estimated by the first arrival direction estimation section 13A is a direct arrival direction derived from a direct wave or a reflection arrival direction derived from the reflection wave. Then, the direction in which the portable terminal 200 is present is estimated based on the result of determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
