PURPOSE:To make generation of large electromotive force possible by forming an insulating film on the surface of thermopiles, and vapor-depositing a blackening material on the temp. contact point part and a reflecting material on the other part. CONSTITUTION:An insulating film 4 made of SiO2 or the like is laminated on thermocouples 21, 22 which are vacuum-deposited on an insulating substrate 1, a blackening material 5 such as gold black is vacuum-deposited to the parts corresponding to the temp. contact point part on the film 4 and a high reflecting material 6 such as Ag, Al on the parts corresponding to the other parts, then incident radiation energy concentrates only on the temp. contact point part that thermopiles require. Hence, high energy electromotive force is generated and the thermopiles of high sensitivity and high responsiveness are obtained. |
