Method of injecting liq. into mining formation - has liq. pressurised above hydraulic resistance of formation before injection to reduce dust generation

The method is for treating a formation, e.g. coal beds, to reduce gas emanation and dust generation, and to avoid spontaneous blowouts of coal. The method includes pressurising a liq. to values in excess of the hydraulic resistance of the formation. A part of the pressurised liq. is accumulated and returned into the compression zone in the process of injecting the liq. into the formation. The liq is pressurised in a multi- cylinder pumping unit and fed through a feed line system to the formation.
