PURPOSE:To realize a high-speed copying suited to each condition, by switching two types of sheet original transporting means in accordance with the condition of copy mode and the condition of original. CONSTITUTION:When a signal copy is selected, a gate 3 turns at the position shown by a chain line, and at the same time an original transporting belt unit 4 turns at the position shown by a chain line. Thus the transporting route of a sheet original transporting means A is opened. Interlocking the above-mentioned actions, an illumination unit 6 can be turned on. And the 1st mirror 26 rocks at the position shown by a chain line, and the exposure path is formed for the reflected light of the unit 6. In case when a continuous copy is selected, the gate 3 and the unit 4 are set at the positions shown by the solid lines to open the transporting path of a holding/ winding transporting means B for sheet original. At the same time, the mirror 26 moves back to the position shown by a solid line. Thus an illumination unit 11 can be turned on. The reflected light of illumination is reflected again by mirrors 29 and 27 to be exposed on a photosensitive drum 25 for image formation. |
