The compact filter has a float at the top designed to ensure that the filter intake orifice is always situated just below the water surface of the pool. One or several openings are arranged laterally across the float so that they ride on the surface of the water. The pump at the bottom is connected to the float by a tube which houses the tubular filter, the top of the filter being closed by a stopper, while guides ensure that the filter is always central in the tube with the filter orifice at the correct level.
