<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a retrieval time by retrieving a language information group, stored in a memory, in both forward and backward directions. CONSTITUTION:A ¦search¦ key 33 is used to searth for an example sentence or word. With a ¦literary language¦ key 29 pushed, an example-sentence access mode is set and with category keys (L1-L4), the 1st example sentence in each category is accessed. On the other hand, when the ¦literary language¦ key 29 is pushed twice successively, an access mode for category words is set, and in this mode, the category key is pushed to access the 1st word in the corresponding category. When a ¦CE¦ key 30 is pushed on a translator having said system, words or example sentences stored in a memory are retrieved in the backward direction, and an input character is corrected or, when a word or example sentence including the character inputted by a ¦spelling searth ¦ function, erased.</p> |
