PURPOSE:To facilitate correcting operation, by a method wherein a date disc is rapidly advanced by means of a month cam which intermittently rotates by 1/12 turn per turn of the date disc and a rapid advancing gear which axially slides in synchronization with the month cam. CONSTITUTION:Teeth 11 are provided on the periperal surface of a disc-shaped month cam 10 which is axially slidable and engaged with one teeth 12a of an advancing pinion 12. Through engagement of advancing teeth 13 provided on a date disc 1 with the other teeth 12b of the advancing pinion 12, the month cam 10 is intermittently rotated by 1/12 turn per turn of the date disc 1. In this case, the month cam 10 and a rapid advancing gear 17 slide, so that the rapid advacing gear and rapid advancing partial teeth 21 are engaged with each other. Consequently, the date disc 1 is rapidly advanced until a date numeral 1 is displayed in a display window 6. By such a rapid advancing operation, it becomes sufficient to effect the date correcting operation for the first day of a month subsequent to an even-numbered month only once a year. Accordingly, correcting operation is facilitated. |
