The wind motor has vertical flexible sails (4) with a variable angle of incidence. Additional sails (5) can be semi-cylindrical and positioned around the axis of rotation, to form a couple to aid starting. The sails can carry a rotary speed governor at their centre. The flexible sails can be fixed to the ends of horizontal beams mounted in parallel, tangential to the axis of rotation. The assembly is driven with a uniform movement following the wind direction. A cylindrical variation of the sail incidence aids acceleration and output.
