The shuttle conveyor is composed of a series of L-shaped pans joined end-to-end. Scrapers extend over a conveying bed formed by the pans, and the scrapers are pivotably mounted to an articulated beam which is reciprocated back and forth to cause the scrapers to swing between operative and inoperative positions. The scrapers are detachable from the beam to permit the conveying direction to be reversed. The scrapers (at the delivery end region of the conveyor) have a smaller mutual spacing than the spacing between the scrapers over the main region of the conveyor. |
