摘要 PURPOSE:To provide superior cold forgeability to a steel contg. a specified amt. of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Cr and Cu and to minimize an increase in magnetism after cold working by restricting the C+N content of the steel in accordance with the Ni and Mn contents. CONSTITUTION:The C+N content of a steel contg. C<=0.03%, Si<=1.00%, Mn 0.5-2.0%, P<=0.040%, S<=0.003%, Ni 8.50-9.20%, Cr 17.00-19.00% and Cu 3.00-4.00% is restricted to the range bounded by points Am, Bm, Cm and D (m is the Mn content) in accordance with the Ni and Mn contents. The reduced Ni content controls an increase in magnetism, and an adequate amt. of Mn-(C+N) is added without deteriorating cold forgeability. Thus, the steel has enhanced practical value as stainless steel for rivet and screw for acoustic and electric instrument parts.
