PURPOSE:To make the automatic detection of a key way position with simple constitution by centering a detection head and an object to be detected with plural photodetectors disposed on circumference, and controlling the relative turning of the object to be detected and the detection head with a photodetector for the key way. CONSTITUTION:An arm 5 is horizontally moved by driving mechanism 4 freely elevatable to a stanchion 3 turned by a turning mechanism 2, by which a detection head 15 is moved in the plane parallel with the surface to be detected of an object 10 to be detected. The head 15 and the object 10 oppose to each other, and the centering of the head 15 and the object 10 is accomplished by photodetectors 16-18 at equal angular intervals on the concentrical circle of the head 15 inscribing the hole 10a provided with a key way 10' of the object 10. When the head 15 is next lowered, the projection 14 of the head 15 corresponding to the key way 10' abuts on the object 10. In this sate, the turning of the head 15 by a turning mechanism 6 is controlled by a photoelectric transducer 19 for detecting the key way, and the key way position by the head 15 moved downward by the elastic force of a spring 13 is automatically detected with the simple constitution. |
