The equipment is for collecting bales of hay. It has a carrier (14) moving relative to a chassis (1) from a first low position in which it has its opening (5) in an upper horizontal plane to a second high position. In this it is tipped backwards relative to the first position. It has two X frames, each with an arm (7,9) with the lower end sliding on the chassis. The upper end is pivoted to the pannier near the opening. A ram (15) is fixed between the sliding arm end and the other arm end.
