Controller for operation of projectors and lighting equipment - uses domestic microcomputer with control software operating using keyboard with plain language

A control deck is connected to a microcomputer which is connected through an interface and low frequency handling units to several units to be controlled. These include a number of film projectors and tape machines and also various lighting units. The keyboard on the control deck has keys annotated in plain language. Software for the microcomputer is stored in ROM form with a RAM allowing changes to be made from the keyboard or magnetic or punched tape or from a teletypewriter. After obtaining particular program addresses the projectors can be operated and their speed can be varied or single frames presented. The lighting units can be controlled to give progressive lighting effects and to operate in conjunction with the tape reproduction facilities.
