PURPOSE:Palatinose is used as an additive to a chewing gum base to increase and keep up the effect of flavor and taste in the chewing gum. CONSTITUTION:Palatinose of 200-300 mesh particle size is added to a chewing gum base along with flavors and other additives and they are mixed, rolled spread to produce chewing gum products. The amount of palatinose is 0.1- 10 times the weight of the gum base and 10-100 times the weight of the flavors.
