PURPOSE:To space a pressure roller surely from a fixing roller during the halt of a copying machine by providing the pressure roller freely attachably and detachably to and from a fixing roller, and retreating the pressure roller in the direction spacing from the fixing roller by the inertia generated in a driving system upon stopping of a driving source. CONSTITUTION:When the copying machine starts, a solenoid 13 is also energized to attract a plunger 13a, by which a detaining pawl 12 is brought to the position of (b) and the pawl 11a of a cam 11b is disengaged, then a clutch 11 is connected and a cam shaft 8 is rotated by the driving force of the driving system. Thereby, an oscillating lever 5 is pushed to a fixing roller 2 side by the large diameter part of an eccentric cam 6, and the pawl 11a is detained like (c) by the other detaining part 12b of the pawl 12, whereby a pressure roller 3 is held in a pressurizing position. Next, when the power source of the copying machine is turned off, the pawl 12 is turned to the position (d) by the force of a spring 15, and the copying machine is put in the state of standing by for the purpose of next copying. |
