PURPOSE:To avoid the ineffective use of material, by making openings in the part of each trunnion-type leaf spring, which is tightened by U-bolts through a pad, and by piling up the leaf springs. CONSTITUTION:Openings are provided in leaf springs L to make hollow the part 1c of a lameller spring 1, which is tightened by U-bolts 3 through a pad 4. Since peripheral portions 1d are left in the leaf springs L, they can enough resist the compressive force of the U-bolts 3. Because the part 1c remains completely pushed by the pad 4, the part does not function as leaf spring. For that reason, no adverse effect is produced by the presence of the openings. As for the trunnion-type lameller spring 1, the weight can be greatly reduced by providing the openings because the pad 4 is much longer than that of other-type lamellar springs. |
