PURPOSE:To prevent the dispersion of battery performance such as an open circuit voltage and internal resistance by use of the mixture of fine particles of silica and alumina as a binder of a cathode black mix of an organic electrolyte battery having an anode active material of lithium. CONSTITUTION:An anode material 3 comprising a lithium disc is faced, via a separator 4, with a cathode black mix 5 which is prepared in such a way that the mixture of fine particles of silica and alumina having the mean particle size of 5-100mmum is mixed in water with a cathode active material such as manganese dioxide and a conductive material such as flake graphite, and this mixture is dried, granulated, rounded to make granules, and dried to prepare cathode black mix powder, and then pressed to form a pellet. Therefore, from the reason that silica and alumina do not react with the cathode active material such as manganese dioxide during heat-treatment of the cathode black mix after being pressed, the decrease of discharge capacity and the dispersion of an open circuit voltage and internal resistance of a battery can be significantly improved. |
