The invention relates to a copolyester based on terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol and bis-(4,β- hydroxyethoxyphenyl)-sulphone prepared by the solid-phase polycondensation of the corresponding low-molecular polymer. The invention also relates to a process for its preparation and to containers, packaging units and packaging material prepared from it. The copolyesters obtained only contain a small amount of acetaldehyde. |
